Going With The Grain: Hardwood Flooring Inspired By Nature

Why does hardwood flooring have to look like a machined product?
Why does does a machined natural product have to lose its connection to its organic roots?

Trees aren't straight, so why do wood floors have to be?

Bolefloor, a Dutch manufacturer, has innovated a technology that produces floor boards that follow the natural shape of the wood it's created from.  Technology no longer is dictating the limitations of our building material resources, in fact we've seen technology providing a wealth of new building products.  Now we see technology enhancing an age old method of creating a warm an elegant floor.

Bolefloor employs a system of wood scanners and CAD/CAM technology along with a set of optimization algorithms to maximize wood cuts, which allows them to more efficiently use the wood to create this unique floor, they claim.

Sustainable, creative, innovative and beautiful.  We love it!
